Online coaching

An online weight loss coach for women.

Coaching that fits a real week, wherever you are. A dedicated coach who checks in and messages you daily in the LWP app, group calls recorded so you can watch them whenever suits you, and habits that take about two minutes a day.

Why most online weight loss coach for women fails women over 40

  • Online is treated as a cheaper substitute for coaching rather than a different delivery of the same thing.
  • The whole product turns out to be an app, and an app has never noticed that anyone was struggling.
  • Plans assume a predictable week, which almost nobody has.
  • Support is a shared inbox, so nobody actually knows your history.
  • Nothing is designed for a body in perimenopause or menopause.

Why online usually beats in person for this

For weight loss specifically, the thing that changes outcomes is not being in a room with someone once a week. It is what happens in the other six days.

Online coaching removes the constraint that decides most of it: geography. You're matched with the coach who fits your situation rather than the one who happens to be within driving distance, and the coaching happens around your week instead of your week having to bend around it.

Dana is the clearest case we have. She lost 60 pounds in total, 35 of them after a long plateau broke once she joined, while working two jobs and traveling constantly. A rigid plan assumes a kitchen and a schedule, and collapses in week two. What survives travel is a set of principles you can apply in an airport plus a coach adjusting to the week you actually had.

What good online coaching actually includes

A dedicated coach, named, for the whole program. Not a rotating queue, not a bot or AI, and not a group chat where you're just one of hundreds of other women. She knows your name and your struggles.

Daily contact with that person: she checks in and messages you every day, looks at the photos of your plate, holds you to a higher standard and coaches you through the blind spots you cannot see yourself. That daily accountability is the part that changes behavior. A plan built for your body, your kitchen and your schedule, and adjusted when reality interferes, with three or four tiny habits that take about two minutes a day and movement that starts at Rep Zero. A weekly group coaching call with the LWP coaches and a Q&A every two weeks with Chelsea or Ami, all recorded, so a time zone or a shift pattern never means missing out. And one place for all of it, which for us is the LWP app: meals, messages, community, recipes and workouts, not scattered across social media.

And a method underneath all of it. Format is delivery; the method is what makes the delivery worth anything. Ours is calorie density: because your stomach measures volume and weight rather than calories, rebuilding the plate around lower density foods lets you eat a physically larger meal, feel full, and still be in a deficit. No counting, no weighing, no app telling you that you have 180 calories left at 4pm.

What to look for if you're over forty

Most clients here are in their forties, fifties and sixties, and some are in their seventies. That is the design brief rather than a footnote, and it changes what the coaching does.

Menopause and post-menopause are the default context rather than an edge case handled with a disclaimer. Movement is about protecting strength rather than burning calories on a machine, which matters more the closer you are to that transition. Joints, injuries and surgeries are planned around instead of ignored. Decades of dieting history are assumed, and nobody treats that as a character problem.

If every testimonial on a coaching site is from a 29-year-old, that program is not about you, however good it is.

Not everybody gets a dream result. That would be a magic pill, and this is behavior change. Clients have had exceptional results, average results and some disappointing ones. Average does not mean nothing happened. It means slightly slower weight loss and slightly slower habit building, and in two years it will not matter whether the weight came off in six months or in eight. When someone does not get results, it is almost always one of two things: she drops off, stops logging in and stops answering her coach, or she will not let herself be coached when she is asked to eat more, bring food when she leaves the house, or make a goal smaller. If life hits hard, a job change or a loss in the family, tell us and we can pause the program or extend it a couple of weeks. Bad weeks, binges, cravings and a scale that stalls or goes up are all normal and planned for, not failure. As long as you do not quit and you have a little humility to be coached, this works.

Where online coaching falls short

It is worth being straight about this. Nobody is in your kitchen. Nobody is spotting you in a gym. If what you need is hands-on technique correction for heavy lifting, an in-person trainer is a better tool, and we would tell you that.

Online coaching also cannot help someone who will not engage with it. The daily check-ins only work if you answer them, and a coach who never hears from you is working blind. When a client stops logging in and stops replying, we call, but we cannot coach someone we cannot reach.

And it is not clinical care. If your relationship with food needs a clinician, you deserve a clinician, and coaching is not a substitute. If you have a condition that needs medical management, your doctor runs that.

There is no published price, and the honest reason is simple. Nobody who runs a high-touch, one-on-one, high-support coaching program puts the price on the website, because if people saw a number first, most of them would never show up to the conversation and would never find out whether this solves their problem. It is not cheap, and it is not comparable to an e-book or a gym membership. It is also not the crazy number most people imagine, and for most women it is very doable. The women who work with us are normal working women and retirees with some savings set aside, and most were already paying for dieting in pieces: shakes, challenges, books, apps and memberships they did not use. Doing nothing has a cost too, in diabetes medication, extra health costs as you age, and paying for dieting every single year instead of learning it once. Payment plan options are available, Klarna is one of them, and if it is the right fit we can get creative and normally make it work. The real number, the one specific to you, your situation and what you need, is what is talked about on your call, a 45-minute Zoom call with someone from the LWP team.

Who this is right for

  • Your schedule, your location or your caring responsibilities rule out in-person coaching.
  • You travel, work shifts, or your week refuses to look the same twice.
  • You want a coach who remembers the trip, the surgery and the stressful month.
  • You want accountability, not another login.
  • You want to stop starting over.

Frequently asked questions

Does online weight loss coaching actually work?

For most people it works better than in person, because what changes outcomes is daily accountability on ordinary days rather than being in a room once a week. The average client here loses around 18 pounds in 12 weeks, and that is an average rather than a promise.

How does the coaching work day to day?

You eat and snap photos of your meals, and your dedicated coach checks in and messages you daily in the LWP app, looks at your plate, and coaches you until you can build a weight-loss-optimized plate every time, whether you're eating out or craving pizza at 9pm. Every week there is a group coaching call with the LWP coaches, and every two weeks a Q&A with Chelsea or Ami. Both are recorded, so you can watch later if you cannot make it live.

Will I get the same coach every time?

Yes. You're matched with one coach for the whole program, so she knows your history, your injuries and what happened to you last week.

What if I travel constantly?

That is one of the most common reasons women assume this cannot work, and usually a reason it will. Principles you can apply anywhere travel better than a meal plan that assumes a kitchen.

Is it just an app?

No. The LWP app holds your meals, your messages with your coach, the community, recipes and workouts, but the coaching is a person: a real coach, not a bot or AI, who knows your name and looks at your plate. An app on its own has never noticed that anyone was struggling.

What does online coaching cost?

It is not published, for the same reason no high-touch, one-on-one coaching program publishes a price: seeing a number first stops most people from having the conversation that shows them whether this can help. It is not comparable to an app subscription or a gym membership, and it is also not the crazy number most people imagine. For most women it is very doable, with payment plan options including Klarna. The real number, specific to your situation and what you need, is talked about on your call.
