Why Is Lean With Plants Expensive? A Straight Answer

Watch Chelsea's answer (3:30): So what does it cost?

Lean With Plants costs more than an app, a group program or a book, and that is not an accident. It is a 12-week one-on-one plant-based weight loss coaching program for women: real one-on-one coaching and a skill set that lasts a lifetime. It is not cheap, and we will not pretend it is. It is also not the crazy number most women imagine, and for most women it is very doable. This page walks through it honestly, including what the investment covers and why it is not month to month.

No defensiveness here. If you are asking this question you are doing the right thing.

Expensive compared to what?

The word "expensive" only means something next to a comparison, so it is worth naming the comparison you are actually making.

Compared with a calorie tracking app, yes, substantially. An app is software. It costs roughly the same to serve its ten thousandth user as its tenth, which is why it can be nearly free. It also gives you exactly zero attention, which is why so many people have three years of logged data and the same body.

Compared with a group program, yes. In a group program, one coach's hour is divided across a lot of people. That is a legitimate model and it is cheaper for a real reason: you are buying a slice of attention rather than the whole thing. We wrote up that tradeoff in one-on-one coaching versus group programs.

Compared with an e-book, a gym membership, Optavia or Weight Watchers, yes, and it is not comparable to any of them. Those sell you a plan and leave the doing to you. Real one-on-one coaching teaches you a skill you keep for life. If you are weighing us against a personal trainer or a dietitian instead, those comparisons are written up too.

Who actually invests in this

This program is for women who are already paying the cost, just in pieces. The shakes, the challenges, the books, the memberships they do not show up to, the apps, the courses. Small investments, small results that never last.

The women who work with us decide to invest up front to get the job finished instead. They are not millionaires. They are normal working women, and a lot of them are retirees with some savings set aside. The belief Lean With Plants is built on is that leanness literacy is a right, not a privilege.

So if it is the right fit, we want to make it work. There are payment plan options, we can get creative, and we normally can.

What the investment actually covers

For judging value, specifics beat adjectives. The 12-week program includes:

  • A dedicated coach, one person for your whole program, trained in the LWP method. You can meet the team on the coaches page
  • Daily check-ins and messages from that coach, a real person who knows your name, looks at your plate and coaches you through your blind spots, not a bot or a group chat
  • A weekly group coaching call and a Q&A every two weeks on long-term leanness literacy, all recorded
  • The LWP app, with your meals, messaging, community, recipes and workouts in one place
  • The nutrition method built on calorie density, so you eat more food by volume instead of counting
  • Movement that starts at Rep Zero, building the habit of showing up first and strength over time
  • The STACK Method habit system, so the result holds after week twelve

You are not buying information. Information is free and you already have plenty of it. You are buying implementation, which is the expensive part for everyone, in every field.

Why there is no published number

Nobody who runs a high-touch, one-on-one, high-support coaching program puts the price on the website. The reason is simple: if women saw a number first, most of them would not show up to the conversation, and if you do not show up, you never get the chance to find out whether this solves your problem. Most of the wins on our success page would not exist.

Our founder knows this from the other side. The call that changed her life was one where she made the biggest investment she had ever made in her business. She would never have shown up if she had known the price first. She had to have the conversation, see the solution, and see her own gaps.

The real number, the one specific to you, your situation, what you need and how we can get creative, is what gets talked about on your free 45-minute strategy call after you apply. We partner with Klarna and Affirm for payment plans. The full reasoning is in how much Lean With Plants costs.

The comparison almost nobody runs

Before you decide anything is expensive, run this calculation on yourself.

What have you already spent trying to solve this? Not this year. In total.

Every app subscription. Every program you bought in a burst of January conviction. The supplements. The shakes. The meal delivery trial. The gym membership you used for five weeks in a row and then twice more. The books. The second round of the same program two years later, because you assumed the first time was a fluke of bad timing.

Beth had tried more than 40 diets before she came to us. Forty. Nobody buys forty of anything in one go, which is exactly the point. Each purchase was small enough to feel like nothing, and the total was enormous, and at the end of it she was in the same place with an extra layer of belief that she was the problem.

She was not the problem. The approach was.

The real cost of the last decade is not the money. It is the decade. It is the clothes you did not buy, the photos you stepped out of, the hikes you skipped, and the low background hum of thinking about food all day. That cost keeps accruing quietly whether or not you ever buy another program.

The money side of doing nothing is real too. It is diabetes medication. It is the extra health costs that come with carrying extra weight as you age, which the CDC puts at close to two thousand dollars a year per adult. It is paying for dieting every single year instead of learning it once.

That is the actual alternative you are choosing between. Not this program versus zero. This program versus another few years of the thing that has not worked yet.

"Why can't I just pay month to month?"

This is a fair question and the answer is not "because we want the money up front."

Behavior change runs on a cycle. The first two weeks feel great because everything is new. Weeks three through six are where the novelty wears off, life interferes, something goes sideways, and every old pattern comes back for you. That window is precisely where women quit, and precisely where a coach is worth the most.

A month-to-month structure offers you an exit at the exact moment that quitting feels most reasonable and is most damaging. You never reach the part where the habits run themselves, because you cancelled while they still felt like effort.

Committing to a full cycle is not a pricing trick. It is the mechanism. It is also why the program has a defined end: the habits are meant to outlast the coaching, and nobody can tell whether they have if you leave in week three.

When it is genuinely not worth it

Being honest about this matters more than closing you.

It is not worth it if you are not going to do the work. A coach cannot eat your meals for you. If you will not change what is on your plate, this is expensive at any price.

It is not worth it if you want a fast result before an event in three weeks. Twelve weeks is the cycle.

It is not worth it if you are not the right fit. If we do not think it will work for you, we will tell you on the call rather than enroll you, because Lean With Plants only survives if clients get phenomenal results.

And it is not worth it if you have never actually tried the free version. If you have never given the method an honest run on your own, start there. The blog has a lot of it, and there is a free live training you can reach through the application page. We laid out both sides properly in is Lean With Plants worth it.

Payment plans

There are payment plan options, so the investment can be spread over time instead of paid all at once. We partner with Klarna and Affirm: they handle the financing, and you see the terms before agreeing to anything. Beyond that, we can get creative. If it is the right fit, we want to make it work, and we normally can. The options that fit you are explained on the call.

Using a plan does not get you a lesser version. Same coach, same daily check-ins, same program. More detail in Lean With Plants payment options.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Lean With Plants so expensive? Because it is real one-on-one coaching and a skill set that lasts a lifetime, not an e-book, an app or a gym membership. It is not cheap. It is also not the crazy number most women imagine, and for most women it is very doable, with payment plan options available.

Is it more expensive than other weight loss programs? It costs more than apps, books, group programs, Optavia or Weight Watchers, and it is not comparable to them. Set it against what you have already spent on shakes, challenges, memberships and apps that did not last, and against the cost of doing nothing, and the picture changes.

Why won't you publish the price? Because if women saw a number first, most would never show up to the conversation that tells them whether this solves their problem. The real number, specific to you, your situation and what you need, is talked about on your free strategy call.

Do you have payment plans? Yes. We partner with Klarna and Affirm for payment plans, and we can get creative. The options that apply to you are explained on the call, before you commit to anything.

What if I cannot afford it right now? Say so on your call. It is not the crazy number most women imagine, there are payment plan options, and we can get creative. If it is the right fit, we want to make it work, and we normally can. If it is not, we will tell you, and the free live training and the blog are always there.
